ASTURIAS HUB DEFENCE IS ORGANISING AN INFORMATIVE SESSION IN COLLABORATION WITH MADOC ON SYSTEMS AUTONOMOUS AND PLATFORMS UNMANNED
Asturias Hub Defensa organised an information session dedicated to the robotisation of the battlefield, one of the technological areas with the greatest potential and impact within the defence industry. The session, held at the Cabo Noval Barracks, was attended by representatives from the Army Training and Doctrine Command (MADOC), who shared the main trends and developments in this field with companies from the Asturian ecosystem.
The event was organised to coincide with MADOC’s visit to Asturias and aimed to provide the regional business community with an up-to-date overview of the integration of new technological capabilities into operational environments. For approximately one hour, attendees had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the development of autonomous systems, unmanned platforms and other emerging technologies that are redefining the concept of military operations.
Representatives from MADOC outlined the main challenges associated with integrating these capabilities, as well as the opportunities this opens up for the domestic industry in areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, autonomous ground systems, advanced sensor technology, communications and data analysis.
Robotisation is one of the key drivers of technological transformation within the Armed Forces. The introduction of unmanned systems helps to improve personnel safety, enhance observation and reconnaissance capabilities, optimise decision-making and expand operational capabilities in increasingly complex and demanding environments.
