2024 Assembly in Trubia

The Rheinmetall Expal Munitions armament factory in Trubia hosted today the second Assembly of the Association of Asturian Companies dedicated to the Defense sector, Asturias Hub Defense.
The event was attended by 52 entities from the region, including the 6 new Asturian companies that have recently joined:
–Auxquimia – Perimeter Solutions: Manufactures fire-fighting foaming agents and provides advice to security and defense security and defense forces in this field.
–CIN Advanced Systems: Designs, builds and implements non-contact measurement systems based on Artificial Vision, specialized in inspections in aggressive environmental conditions.
–DOGRAM: Engineering specialized in the management and implementation of metrology 4.0 and 3D digitization projects.
–Hispano Industrias SVELT: Manufactures means of access and temporary work equipment at height, specialized in the Defense sector.
–IMAGERYST: SaaS that enables the extraction of reliable geolocated data, accurate and recurring over time automatically for non-technical users.
· INDAER: Aviation engineering and technical services company.
During the Assembly, the activities organized and in which Asturias Hub Defensa has participated during the year 2023 were presented. The Association ‘ s objectives include cooperation among members to generate more business opportunities, the positioning of the Asturian industry as generators of solutions to the main technological challenges of the sector and the search for new programs and common projects with other entities at national and European level.
The public act of the Assembly included:
· Presentation of the ASTUREX Promotion Plan for the Defense Sector 2024, by Javier Tamargo Fanjul.
–Conference on the National RD Planning Unit – SDG PLATIN, given by the Head of the Unit, Cte. CIP. Carlos Calderón Carnero.
· Visit to the Rheinmetall Expal Munitions facilities.
The future of Asturias Hub Defensa is to increase its presence in different events. In this sense, it will be present at the EUROSATORY 2024 International Fair, to be held at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center of Paris Nord Villepinte from June 17 to 21, being the only Spanish regional hub present at the fair.
Asturias Hub Defensa consolidates as a benchmark for the defense industry, fostering collaboration between companies and organizations to promote innovation and growth in the sector.
