Asturias Hub Defence attended the launch of the Yearbook on 23 February in Madrid SPAIN Defence & Security Industry 2026, “The keys to an cycle of expansion”, organised by Infodefensa – Metalia Group. The event brought together more than 200 representatives from the sector at a a33> time of strong growth for the industry in Spain of defence.
The Secretary of State for Defence, Amparo Valcarce, stressed that the great challenge facing the sector is “to grow, grow and grow”, emphasising the need to strengthen capacities, increase production and commit to collaboration between businesses.
Asturias Hub Defence will continue to foster connections to ensure that Asturias plays a part in the strategic projects that will shape the coming years.
The yearbook includes a comprehensive analysis of the sector, the new organisational charts for the DGAM and the DIGEID, as well as a map of over 1,800 industrial sites in Spain.
Just as in the edition of 2025, the Asturias Hub Defence features in this edition with all its member companies, highlighting the visibility of the industrial ecosystem in Asturias.
