The "Circle Hontoria", a new driving force for collaboration, knowledge and opportunities for industry.
Asturias Hub Defence, the association of businesses in technology in Asturias for the development of a8> the industry of defence, has announced the creation and launch of the a15> of the ‘๐๐ถอ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐๐น๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ’. This new space for strategic dialogue and ongoing collaboration was created with the aim of becoming a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences between the different sectors of the economy and the public sector. a26> is created with the aim of becoming the main instrument for connecting companies, sharing advanced knowledge and generating joint projects with impact economic and of territorial cohesion in the region.
The “Circle Hontoria” pays tribute to the figure of the Asturian military engineer ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒอ a10> ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฎอ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ, key to the history of the Factory of Arms of Trubia in the 19th centuryinspired by its spirit of progress and ingenuity. Its objective is clear: to transfer the industrial and technological potential of Asturias to a a33>agenda of the country that strengthens the industrial base of defence.
With this initiative, we seek to move from discourse to execution, promoting shared projects and establishing employment. a9> shared projects and establishing employment of high added value in the region.
The launch coincided with the first session work of Cรญrculo, which featured the prominent participation of ๐ง๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ, one of the leading European players in satellite services and applications. Telespazio’s presentation focused on the integration of satellite and geospatial technology into defense systems, addressing everything from Earth observation and geolocation to cybersecurity and advanced communications in complex environments.
This first meeting highlights the nature of the Hontoria Circle: a dynamic forum that will hold regular sessions with specific work agendas and focus groups in areas critical to Asturian industry, such as advanced manufacturing, automation, robotics and digitalisation.
The initiative reinforces Asturias’ contribution to a more cohesive and resilient national industry, promoting the collaboration culture and accelerating the implementation of R&D&I projects in the field of Defence and Security.
